Sell-Out Crowd Benefits Heart Institute

A passionate crowd gathered on October 10th for the Viva L’Italia Gala. The evening culminated with sensational auction bids that brought the tally for the event close to $200,000!

During the evening, Toni Martin shared the story of learning she had 100% blockage in her “widowmaker” artery and how the doctors and staff at Stillwater Medical saved her life. Toni’s son Jeff told the crowd that his mother’s life-saving procedure created what she calls her “second birthday. He then revealed the procedure had happened exactly one year ago, and asked everyone to join in singing “Happy Birthday” to her. Watch Toni’s Story

“There are other people, like Toni, out there,” Allison Wilson, President of the Stillwater Medical Foundation, shared. “and that’s why it’s so important to make certain the community knows about and supports the services available at our hometown hospital. I’m honored to be part of this work to benefit so many.”

This year’s gala and end-of-year giving will culminate the Foundation’s funding campaign for the Heart & Vascular Institute at Stillwater Medical.
